Lumsden Point capital dredging and remediation

Lumsden Point capital dredging and remediation

With Lumsden Point selected as the location for a new general cargo facility and logistics hub at the Port of Port Hedland, Hall was contracted to work in partnership with the Pilbara Ports Authority and The Pilbara Infrastructure to remediate the Lumsden Point Dredge Material Management Areas. This involved relocating 700,000m³ of unsuitable ‘fines’ material, and undertaking civil construction works to prepare the Dredge Material Management Areas, ensuring dredging and remediation could be executed safely and efficiently.

Our team also dredged and reclaimed 1,300,000m³ of sands, gravels and conglomerate material to form the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility approach channel, swing basin and berth pockets.

Hall utilised its versatile dredging fleet supported by its experienced management team to deliver the Lumsden Point Dredging Works to a first-class standard.
